Design Winner 2014: Minimalism Meets Modernism
The 27,000-square-foot state-of-the-art office, designed by Gensler and constructed by BCCI Builders, won the 2014 Interior Design Best of Year Awards.
According to JD Lumpkin, Managing Principal, “As advisors to some of the Bay Area’s most notable technology, finance, professional services and other companies, we have created a workspace designed around our commitment to communication and collaboration. We’re extremely proud of our work environment, which is just the latest component of our ongoing efforts to develop solutions that empower our clients.”
Among many other notable achievements, the San Francisco branch of Cushman & Wakefield represented salesforce.com, the world’s #1 CRM platform, in a record-breaking office lease of approximately 714,000 square feet at 415 Mission Street. The transaction, which is the largest office lease in San Francisco history, includes renaming the 1,070-foot tall Cesar Pelli-designed structure Salesforce Tower. Upon completion, Salesforce Tower will rise majestically over the San Francisco skyline and the top floor will have eclipsed the Transamerica Pyramid by 220 feet. It will also be the tallest building west of the Mississippi.
High Tech in The Sky
“Design features of the Market Street office include collaborative open spaces, glass-office fronts and expanded conference and meeting facilities that incorporate the latest in audio/visual technology,” said Robin Addams, Cushman & Wakefield West Region Managing Director for Marketing and Communications. “In addition to a beautiful space in a superb location, we’re also better equipped with the technology required by today’s tech-savvy clients.”
Among the plethora of modern amenities, this space includes a spacious kitchen, a variety of comfortable client seating areas, numerous enclosed glass mini offices for phone privacy and sleek Knoll furniture reflective of today’s discriminating San Francisco style.

A First Impression Starts With Good Morning
425 Market Street is right in the heart of the Central Business District, where all the action is. After taking the elevator to the 23rd floor, the first impressions a visitor experiences upon entering this extremely spacious and elegant space is the friendly greeting of LaTisha Robinson, who is tasked with reception, accounts payable and other administrative duties.
A warm welcome and the words “Good Morning” are part of the elementary and fundamental building blocks of the Cushman & Wakefield brand.
